Just a random thought that popped into my head, possibly via Project Thought
Which piece of Dark Tek is your favourite, either as referee or "just because"? I was always big on the Folder Pod, especially when they get co-opted by an enemy

It is hard for me to pick just one. I would say that my favorite Dark Tek is also a race, the Bioroid. There is just something about a small robot that builds itself a newer, bigger body out of any and all available materials (including biological). That must be why I have to watch the movie Virus every time it is on the television (even if it is 3/4 of the way finished)

Cannot think of the proper name for it (and I'm at work so I can't access the books) but the "eye thing" that can give the user vision in other light spectrums. It features on the cover art for DarkTek, mounted on the man's shoulder.
Can't remember the specifics of what it can and cannot detect but I've had it able to detect radio transmissions and also night vision gear (by the high-pitched electronics hum that older night vision devices typically give off).
With it I took away the PCs ability to see at night and their ability to communicate with each other. Made the PCs extremely paranoid to be by themselves in the dark
