A couple of days ago Amargosa Press posted the following in reply to multiple comments and queries on their Facebook page. I present this as a direct quote:

"Hi, thanks for your comment.
We're still working on Dark Conspiracy but have had a number of issues (non RPG-related) over the last couple of years which have delayed things. Long overdue an update and will see where we are with one and ask for it to be posted ASAP. Apologies for the delays."

Thanks for sharing (as you know, I can't be arsed with most social media, so I miss out on a few of these things)
I'm hoping for the best, I'd love to see some adventures, technology and world regions (so I don't have to write them out myself haha!)

I'm not holding my breath! I'm done with the whole 4e thinking until either a) I get asked to develop it or b) something arrives in my inbox.

I'm just rumbling along with a hybrid of 1st and 2nd eds for now. If it appears in shiny new form, great, if not... that's life.

I think most of us who are still in the game, so to speak, are running with either 1st, 2nd or a mix of the two but more than that, I now feel that any 4th edition will have to be something really great before I throw any more money at it (I supported the original 4th Ed. crowd funding effort).
I do really want to see something come of it, but as others have said, I ain't holding my breath waiting for it and I really don't "need" it to continue to enjoy the game (but I do "want" it haha).
