Skill depth ?

I was curious if the amount of skills for the new edition were going to be expanded a bit? personally, the skills as is are kinda thin for me. I have played Rolemaster and MERP for many a year which have a lovely compliment of skills. I personally dont allow a lot of those skills in my game, most do...

I think I can understand where Braxen is coming from, but I think it's safe to say that any imbalance between the four Empathic Philosophies it will be worked out in the new version. Something else for us to put on our To-Do List :D I figured that to be the case :D . For me the more depth and detai...

I took more of the image rather than the actual story of the children in village of the damned. This little girl worked quite well in Deadlands. I substituted a china doll for the teddy bear....caught the party by surprise....I think the phrase they used was "you sick bastard" . I am...

93games studio has the license for Twilight 2K.

Aside from the infantry weapons book I also use the Heavy Weapons handbook and the twilight nightmares (?). I have borrowed some stuff from a buddy of mine who has a decent amount of the T2K material.

I had seen the MERC books but never picked them up.

I hope that they stay with the random generation. If nothing else they could still keep both the point allocation and random in place. For my games my players will never see the point allocation method.

My personal favorite is one that I made up a while back. A little girl about 6-7 yrs old, blond curls, big blue eyes, ivory skin, pink frilly dress, white knee high socks, black shoes with a buckle, and holding a teddy bear. When the party encounters the little girl she is crying, dirty, and looks ...

Empathic Balance?

I have been doing some work on a new campaign recently and it occured to me the imbalance of abilities as listed in the Empathic Sourcebook. By far and away Mystics have the most abilities while those who use Sorcery appear to have the weakest abilities. I understand the different nuances between th...

The cobra people for me have always been a source of great inspiration. I have had the party do various types of investigations where they find everything from 'baby farms' to meeting places at some asian style bath houses. They even got to sit in on an autopsy once....that was very cool to see thei...

Timeline.....

I am putting together a timeline for not only me to reference the events leading up to the conditions of the world in DC but for my players as well. I start with events happening this year and move forward to my campaign time period (2035).

Will there be something like this in the new edition?

I would like to see it for my players and bad guys to get hold of down the road. For my games I am very tight fisted about what weapons the players can have access to in the early going. As they move along after a few missions then new and better 'toys' become available.....its a slow process but on...

While the setting is a little off (1920's-30's) I find the works of Lovecraft can work quite well in DC. My personal favorite is the Shadows over Innsmouth (my mind just went blank....I hope thats the correct title). At the Mountains of Madness would also work really well....something about fighting...

initiative...

Has anyone changed the way initiative is being done? Apparently, the idea of being mauled/gored/shot/or just being used as a chew toy by some large salivating critter from a lovecraft novel, with an initiative of 5 or 6, while they are sitting at 3 in order to get the chance to go has long been the ...
