Damn! I was so sure I'd just found my future wife and then you go and delete her details!

But on a DC note... there's plenty of room for this sort of spam (and other variations) in DC, less so as a base criminal exercise but more so because many people would be trying to make some extra money and there'd be less chance of the police doing anything about it (because, hey, no police funding then no police working).

With the PCs getting modestly wealthy through the course of the game, I could imagine them receiving all manner of spam as desperate people try to fleece money from those that have it.
Some prole sitting at a net cafe sending out begging emails or fake charity emails while the Mike sitting in another booth sends fake profiles of people wanting to "meet a serious man" or sends details of a new start up company offering shares via email if you'll just provide details of your bank account...

An ET computer could use spam to talk, or a profile of a hunter could be formed using the adds and spam

Anyways, in DC THEY can be anywhere inside any organisation. Why not the NSA

Slightly OT, it is surprising to see I'm interested in a serious man(I'm not). This and the RW "Craigslist Killers" has started an idea. It might be just a small seed that could be inserted into any campaign.
