Was wondering if anyone else had seen this apparently obscure science fiction film in the Alien/s vein. I'd never even heard of it before I read The Void rpg quick start rules where it's listed as one of the game's main inspirations.
The story of two crewmen in a deep space colony ship who wake up from cryosleep with memory loss and are faced with the imminent prospect of the main reactor overloading. Things get worse from there. It's not really a Dark Conspiracy movie although there's a great shot of a futuristic Berlin, loads of Bladerunner style skyscapers towering behind the Brandenberg gate. The monsters infesting the ship are sort of like Morlocks on steroids, (or maybe CoC style ghouls).
Enjoyed it a lot but thought it was spoiled by jumpy MTV style editing which made some of the dialogue and action unclear. Been nice if it'd been directed by someone with a more relaxed style.

Re: Pandorum
Yep and I even own a copy. I like the movie, and the plot is nicely horrific (The acting is also good). I'd only rate Event Horizon above it for more recent sci-fi horror (and that's probably because it has so many catchy lines).
Also, Pandorum's soundtrack is great, and I often play it when writing DC stuff.

Interesting that Paul Anderson had a hand in both. Given his background in doing video game adaptations I wonder if the choppy editing was down to him. He gets a lot of flak from foaming fanboys but I've enjoyed a fair few of his films: Shopping, Soldier, Event Horizon, even AVP - all good genre fun. Shopping might even qualify as a DC movie as it seems to take place in a 1980s style near future nightmare Britain.
