A friend sent me this article link about the State of New York selling off unwanted institutions and the like but they seem to be having a difficult time finding buyers for some of the closed prisons.
Shutting down these facilities represents a huge savings in daily costs but apparently the costs will be just as big for anyone wanting to demolish or redevelop some of the facilities, hence the lack of interest from buyers.
Some of them sure would make a troublesome place to investigate if they just so happen to be a base for Dark Minions or an Igor group...

It's not whether you win or lose,
It's whether I win...

Shades of "Session 9" perhaps?
"There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple."
