While we are talking about adventure writing, I like to play and to referee things which have a non-linear plot. I would also love to be able to write in that way but sadly my own plots often tend to turn linear no matter what I try :?

I'd suggest having a go at writing something in the Cold City scene format. Initially it appears to be aimed at creating linear adventures, but in practice is the complete opposite. Found it quite liberating.

This might sound heretical, but I suggest following the structure in two Call of Cthulhu campaign - Masks of Nyarlathotep for pulpy and action based campaigns, and Tatters of the King for more serious slow paced stories.

As I said this might sound silly, as Cthulhu as a very different vibe than DC, but when you look at the structure and history around these adventures you soon realise that they my make GMing fun and easy, and are built in a way that helps create a story, rather than hinders one when things don't go to plan!

One day I might have to do an analysis of what makes these campaigns work.

Masks is widely regarded as one of the greatest adventures ever written for any system, which I happen to agree with, and I don't think that sounds silly 8) It's a good one to try and learn structure from I reckon.

I so very much want to use the test tube babies idea now...
Well, I always though my adventure idea would work well as cyberpunk Cthulhu storyline, and I think I'll definitely incorporate it into one of the themes I'm developing for Future Dawns.

Gentelmen, after more than ten years of waiting I finally own my copies of the epic Sin City Campaign. I also agree with all of the above stated. It is a happy day for the world.

Would love to hear what you (or anyone really) would have to say about my book. I'll take nothing personally - hell it was almost a life time ago!!

I'll do that as soon as I am done with it. Though I started reading the first book first so this might take some time.
