[Question] Character Identification Terminology

Here's one for anyone who might be interested. I've been thinking about how character's are labeled in Future Dawns.

By that, I've wondering what to call them. Obviously characters is a little 'metagamy' (okay in the rules but no really iconic enough in style) and so I began by using the term Heroes. However, this seems out of place as well.

Anyone have any ideas? Obviously DC has this great term Minion Hunters to use to describe the characters, and it does a lot to identify their roles as well. I've been fooling around with calling them 'The Awakened' (as in they have awoken to the threats), but this means I'll have to character on the archetypes in the game (I'm currently using the term Awakened to represent the characters who have developed powers. I suppose these could just become Gifted?)

Any feedback on this quandary is appreciated...

Marcus

I tend towards the prosaic in these matters so I'd stick with Characters, Player Characters or even PCs. Awakenened sounds a bit new age to me.

Hmm, I've not got a good name to replace PC, Character etc. etc. but I do think that 'The Awakened' for those people who have developed powers is worth sticking to.
Perhaps even to the point were they themselves don't use the term but the people who work with them call them that because they are very different to the mundane humans. (Does that make sense?)

I'm not fond of the term 'Heroes' to describe PCs because I tend to associate the term with superheroes.
