The Dark Times Fanzine (DTZ) has a new dedicated home at http://darktimesfanzine.org/.

To celebrate, we are looking to release a new issue soon, and are therefore looking to accept additional quality submissions. These should support the great game systems we have the rights to produce material for (see our Submissions page for details). Further, to encourage you to contribute, we will be offering a small payment for articles (not much, but at least something).

We look forward to seeing what you'll bring to these Dark Times...

Awesome news!
One question though, there isn't any listing for FFE or Dark Conspiracy so does that mean we can't write for either of those?
Edit: Or does that only apply for submission that qualify for remuneration?

I need to add that in! Will be done by the time you see this message!

I'll also state that if you write it, I'll get permission for it to appear in the zine (I personally want to have articles for Chill as well as Agents of Oblivion!)

We definitely do still have permission for Dark Conspiracy so that's not a problem! As for remuneration, the various publishers agreements regarding fan material state that we can't charge for DTZ but there's nothing about us spending money 8)

When I saw that Chill 3rd edition was coming out during Protodimension's run I spent literally 2 years chasing them for permission, with no luck. Turned out that edition went away for behind the scenes reasons and I don't know who has the IP at the moment, but we can look into that again 8)

I wasn't thinking in terms of the ezine charging for purchase when I made that comment, I had thought that perhaps there was some legal concern over paying people for the articles that were accepted and that there was maybe some conflict with FFE policy and thus DC was not included on the list due to that.
I'm happy to see that I was mistaken in that belief.

I'm trying to find the materials I had accumulated for further DC-Australia articles as I had intended to provide some critters and minions based on mythological creatures of Australia. So I got concerned upon not seeing DC on the list of games as it's one of only two or three game of those mentioned that I would know how to do stats for.

There's various snake spirits and the obvious ones like the Bunyip and the Yowie and we've had our fair share of newer ones like Alien Big Cats but there's some little know ones from Aboriginal legend.
Because the Aboriginal people here are not all one ethnic group due to them inhabiting Australia at widely differing times over waves of small and large scale migration, there's a lot of myths to tap into. Some of them are very similar and probably derive from the same origin but others are distinct to particular tribal groups.
An example is one the name of which I cannot remember, which is kind of but not quite a vampire. It appears to be distinct to certain tribal groups and not found in the myths of other tribes. It sits around in a high location waiting for a victim and then drops onto them and sucks the victim's blood through suckers on it's fingers. Once the victim is weak enough, the creature swallows them and regurgitates them over and over until they transform into a new creature (as in, the same type of creature that attacked them).
I don't recall anything quite like that in the myths of other groups so it's definitely one I want to include.
