Man finds strange cubes in river

Post by ReHerakhte »

The headline reads: -
"Fisherman baffled after pulling 60 mystery cubes with bizarre inscriptions from UK river"
However I don't think magnet fishing really qualifies him to be a "fisherman" but whatever... the only important thing here is that the man located a number of metal cubes that appear to be used in some Indian (the report specifically mentions Hindu in its title) ritual whereby the cubes, with what appear to be various Sanskrit symbols on them, require running water to activate whatever prayer, blessing etc. etc. is associated with them - hence being found in a river.
The age and origin as well as who placed them in the river are still to be determined and the man is undecided as of the time of the news report about what to do with them, however...

(fuel for gaming), what if he has inadvertently broken a mystical lock by retrieving them from their resting place and it's only a short period of time until the Minions that were locked behind them are released into the world? What if some lesser Minions have already been released and started causing minor problems? Perhaps the local authorities have already taken care of the problem and assured the public that everything is fine and there's no more cause for concern?

Didn't one of the Demons in the DC rulebook have an Indian appearance? It's probably something to do with him/her.
"There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple."
