At the risk of angering the copyright gods in other countries...
Here in Australia there doesn't seem to be any particular problem with getting a copyrighted document printed and bound in a few copies for limited use and more importantly, non-profit/non-promotional use. I believe that this is because it is thought of as "personal use" without any intent to profit from it and so it is considered as not violating the intent & spirit of copyright protection. I can't answer for other countries and so, to use a phrase, your mileage may vary.
Yes, I think fair use as a concept can vary from country to country, but I pretty much agree with you. If you're just doing the one copy to help you play the game, and you've already paid for the pdf then that's perfectly reasonable. Found Lulu very fussy in terms of what format pdfs it will take. However, there is an office stationery chain near me that does self service printing for 10p a sheet which isn't too expensive for smaller books. Think I might pay them a visit soon and get a print of the 2300AD BRP conversion.

For anyone who has purchased Tampete, I welcome and encourage them to print copies for their own personal use.

I've always felt that should go without saying if you purchase a PDF but unfortunately that isn't the case.

In any event, for Tampete, it is. Enjoy.

If any of you run across a fussy printer, let me know and I'll get you a letter which will ease their concerns.

Thanks Scott, that's very gracious of you. Lulu seems to be very picky about formatting - embedded fonts, page sizes plus non specific things where it just won't produce the document. Anyway, back on topic - just purchased Tampete and added it to my lunchtime pub reading list. Looking forward to perusing it on my tablet while enjoying a pint or two.
