German cars are quite pricey in the UK, well VWs are anyway. Yet at the same time you can buy a Skoda or SEAT equivalent for a fair few quid cheaper, despite their being based on VW models. Maybe in the future thrifty Mikes will be buying Czech and Spanish, while Gnomes and Corporates will shell out for the German version with all the extras.
Lee, I was wondering if something like this was what you had in mind with your Grosser Auto article in Demonground?

Well, it was based on that idea of car makers taking over the smaller companies but combined with my personal liking for the less obvious vehicles, so yes that was somewhere in the mix

Saw a VW ad the other week saying don't buy something like a Golf, get the actual Golf. Yet at the same time VW are involved in turning out lower priced versions of their own motors, courtesy of SEAT and Skoda. Seems quite strange to me.

I think they don't actually care about their commercials too much. They know that they only have a limited impact and that people simply don't have enough money to buy the VW cars. So either they get no share of this money or they try to geat at least some of it by selling the cheaper cars. The few people who actually can aford the the Golf will probalby be intrigued by the ad.

Just a note to say I've made some updates to my site, I can't supply a decent list of the updates because I typically carry them out in a completely random manner touching up sections as I go along or completely renovating them.
However, alongside the general updates or tweaks here and there, there have been some new firearms and some new corporations added.

I might be starting up a new DC campaign in the near future. If I do then I'm definitely going to use the Red Star/Black Star club. Nice work.

Thanks!
I thought that with a number of Russians migrating to the UK for work in the real world, there was a lot of scope for having some of them leave Russia for stranger (i.e. more DC), reasons. The idea being that the guy who runs the club left Russia for unknown reasons but he certainly didn't want to leave his homeland.
The club was meant to be his 'piece of home' but he can't quite escape the Dark even if it isn't directly involving him, people seem drawn to the place probably because of the claims that he encountered something strange.
Hence the cryptozoology group using it as a meeting place.
Of course there's also the possibility (I only just thought of this as I was typing this reply) that he encountered something far bigger than the 'normal' DC encounter and it's left a taint on him and that's why people interested in the Dark are drawn to the place?
Cheers,
Kevin
