Current status of Dark Conspiracy?

Post by Tom B »

The latest info I can find in the forum involved using Savage Worlds as the system for the next version of Dark Conspiracy, but that was 7 months ago.

Is there any new news?

Check out 3Hombres Games, they're the people pushing for the 3rd edition. By all accounts so far it should have compatibility with the earlier editions and it isn't too far from completion.

Or if you just want copies of the old material (1st & 2nd editions), it's available in pdf form from DriveThruRPG

Welcome Tom!

The current status of Dark Conspiracy III is that the Players Guide is due within the next month or so, with the Referee Guide to follow. The system used is a revision of the old GDW house system, with a few additions and extra options to polish it up a bit. As ReHerakhte pointed out, we have already released a couple of new adventures for the older version and have several more in the works.

Any further questions, don't hesitate to ask! :D

No exact date yet I am afraid, main man Norm has been a bit under the weather so we may not make it by the end of this month :? However, after all this time a week or two doesn't matter too much.

Our apologies to all.

Will there be a particular forum or thread that the release date will be announced? I'd like to go subscribe to that thread...

Damn Bolsheviks! Well, the got plenty of russian advisors there...

I think I have asked the question before, I am not sure. Anyways. Are the outlaw areas based on any real life data or are those purly artistic? Don't get me wrong I am in no way complaining. I love it either ways. but if it is connected to some kind of storyline I would gladly hear it. A safe and sound Cuba for example makes a lot of sense to me. But the earthquake ridden, zombie-infested, Haiti? US annexcion?

There are no set rules for Outlaw zones, some are almost safe in fact  The name is given to areas where there is no formal authority or law enforcement. Some are areas of 'plexes which the city government can't be bothered to pay for police patrols; others are polluted wastelands out in the countryside where demonground spring up.

Anything goes really! :)
