Re: [Games That Shaped Me] Part One - Dark Conspiracy

...It is still the game that I've GM'ed the most: Three campaigns to date, all lasting a year or more. Given the chance I'd run another at the drop of a hat. It was probably the game in which I ran my first serious campaign as well - with the players all being much older than I was. The group had c...

Re: [Games That Shaped Me] Part One - Dark Conspiracy

...Hence I didn't actually know you had been a contributor! So I learn something new :D Let's be honest it was only a couple of short articles in a 'zine mostly full of Mike's stuff! Still, it was the first thing I ever did for any audience outside my own gaming group (I'd only just the internet - ...

Morthrai wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2020 11:49 pm Actually I have to be honest and say I'm not a fan of the new homepage/site banner thing. I'm totally fine with one image or the other, but it's not working for me personally with the split.
Thanks! I knew it wouldn't work for everyone... but for right now I really like it :P

Re: Updates to www.darkconspiracy.info

Tried to download the updated Redview scenario and I'm getting no response (and no option to "save link as" either). Trying to open it in another tab just gives me a blank page although the url appears to be all fine and well. :( Fixed now! Was a fatfinger issue where I miss copied the UR...

Re: Updates to www.darkconspiracy.info

A round of updates and changes, most invisible, some quite obvious. New Home Page/Site Banner, which I think looks quite nice New Banner for the Second Edition and FIddleback Trilogy Catalogue pages Changed the spacing of the text slightly across the entire site, which makes it easy to read on large...

[Games That Shaped Me] Part One - Dark Conspiracy

Stolen from Dave Chapman - the first in my series of 'Games that Shaped Me'... looking forward to a bit of self reflection and growth!

In this first post I cover the game that influenced me the most - Dark Conspiracy (who would have thunk that!?!)

If this does come out on top, I will likely be pretty brutal about the scenario and my situation at the time. I might impact others as well, so we will see where it goes...

What to Review Next?

I'm in a real creative mood right now. I'm running a self written Pulp Cthulhu campaign, have a Conspiracy X scenario in edit, and even a custom game system that I have drafted, On top of this (and a bit of work over at Stormbringerrpg.com site) I'm looking to review something here. But what should ...

Re: Announcement Forthcoming?

Hi all - as mentioned by Marc Miller over on Facebook - due to the outbreak of the Greater Depression... opps... I mean Covid-19 the announcement has been delayed a week...

In other news, I hear that Twilight 2000 is getting a rebook (as Twilight IV), although no other details than that!

Re: Urban Nightmares - A 1st Edition Scenario

Not looked at this yet Marcus, but I will. The question of what makes Earth so special is a good one, whether it's Dark Conspiracy or Call of Cthulhu (Earth seems to be the Great Old Ones' holiday home). I'm in the same boat as Linden, grabbed it as soon as I saw it but haven't had a chance to real...

Re: The Return of A/state

I read about the original game when visiting Contested Ground's site for Cold City/Hot War material and to contribute to their forum. For some reason I got the impression it was more of a steam punk game. The new version looks interesting, slightly 80s retro style with those towerblocks? Now there ...

Urban Nightmares - A 1st Edition Scenario

Over Christmas I set myself the task of completing a roleplaying scenario (of any setting/system/genre), and ended up settling on fleshing out a Dark Conspiracy adventure idea that I had planned to write for the - what never eventuated - 20th Anniversary edition of Demonground. The result was Urban ...

I was going to say that everything I've ever had for DC is already on this site... but then I recall the content here is really built on the bones from when I had the DC licence (2006/7). I have an archive somewhere of that old site and will take a look see! ... oh but I did find a copy on Scribd *s...
