Noctum Mutilated Edition
Even though I have not yet played this, it does read like a fun game. It uses a D8 dice pool system which is pretty similar to the World of Darkness (what I remember of it anyway) with some insanity rules added for those who use such things. This is a free test version and the insanity rules are par...

Re: FATE
You can get the Core rules and Toolkit PDFs on RPGNow for free, if you want to look it over before I get my group transitioned.
That was the only reason we are trying it, and I liked what I read enough that I went ahead and bought a hard copy

Re: FATE
My group and I played Fate Accelerated for the first time last week. I ran The Terror Train from Demonground 1 for their introduction to the world of Dark Conspiracy, it was the first time either have taken a trip to DC and both found it quite enjoyable. The system was a great fit, thus far. In a co...

That was my opinion of D&D 4th. It plays just like a board game.

Re: Phantasm (2010) - free download from DrivethruRPG
I'll agree with both of you on that score. D20 isn't really good for anything but fantasy. I tried the D20 Modern and thought it sucked out loud in vivid Technicolor. I did think that TSR had a winner with the Alternity rules system (after the steep initial learning curve of course), it had an excel...

Re: Phantasm (2010) - free download from DrivethruRPG
Yep, there is an alternate dimension which seems to be hostile to life as we know it. These movies are cheesy as hell but I like them (and their ilk)... come to think of it, it has been years and years since I have seen them. Looks like I'll have to find a copy somewhere to witness the cheddary good...

Phantasm (2010) - free download from DrivethruRPG
This isn't a conspiracy/horror game, I know, more like splatter/gore with a conspiracy in the background. Sounds like it might be fun to play once or twice though :D Based on the Cinema6 rules system and the Phantasm horror movies. Here is a link if you want to check it out: http://rpg.drivethrustuf...

Yeah, I had high hopes for this. Was a bit of a let-down.
