Ah yes, Minion Hunter holds many good memories for me. As with any properly done boardgame based upon an RPG, you can set it up and play through in about the same time as it can take to generate characters, at least if there's a group all starting at once. Agreed 100% with Dark City, especially the way you used it as a protodimension. The fact that the aliens were abducting people and messing around with their brains makes it a real Dark Conspiracy film.

I agree that consistency within each protodimension is necessary, but having said that the whole point of them is to facilitate the fact that in an infinite universe everything can exist. Therefore, build your own! It's fun for the referee and you really can have what you want
