As someone who has had a scratchpad wikia promoted before, the key thing they look for is a large number of at least semi-active participants in the community for that particular scratchpad.

I agree with you that Idea 1 is a little cliche.

Idea 2 isn't bad, although it might be better to have an actual human/humanoid society, in which the Ravagers are a major boogie man.
