...When it comes to that weapons thing you can be sure that Master Lee has some nice surprises ready for us. At least that’s what I learned from his cryptic hints. In am not always so sure how the future development will go. Let’s not forget the G-11/caseless ammo hype in the 90ies…I also like to e...

:D Thanks Lee, Still needs some work though and I've got more to add. I have to tidy up some of the descriptions and there's some other materials I'm trying to find out about. And at some point I'd like to include some thumbnail sized pics for a few of the items but that's much later down the track....

Apologies for any repeats (I'm basically cutting & pasting) of items, any long-winded geekspeak or repeatition of errors from the first such posting :( More Items Body Armour, Concealable, Kevlar: The type of low profile armour that many police officers wear under their uniforms but it is often ...

Hey Linden & Zvezda, thanks for the compliments :D As for the allocation of AV:1, yes I very much agree with what you've mentioned Linden. Particularly because at the time Dark Conspiracy (and then Twilight: 2000 version 2.2) was developed, the armour/trauma plate inserts for Kevlar vests were r...

Damned good point and my answer is... Kinda sorta... The long answer. This where the whole issue gets to be a right pain in the rear! The game rules are quite simple, something I like, but they don't take into account the different types of ballistic cloth that's available (and to be fair, GDW would...

Hey Zvezda,
I'm going to start a thread in the General Discussion forum to post some of the body armour stuff I have made so everyone can have a look at it and provide any criticism/improvements/thoughts etc. etc.

Additions to body armour listed in the book

G'Day everyone, As mentioned to Zvezda in the Real World forum, I have been trying to compile a more modern equipment list for a campaign I am planning. As something of a sneak preview, I want to post some of the armour I have written up so everyone can review it and offer improvements/thoughts etc....

:D I'm always interested in seeing people's equipment lists! I suspect you and I do the same thing and collect anything that may be interesting, even if it doesn't get used in a game :) As for Dragon Skin, based on the materials used for the ceramic discs used to create the 'scales' and the tests ag...

I think your ideas about the I.D. technology are spot on, the governments that remain would be interested in collecting taxes from those people remaining in their jurisdiction but I doubt those same governments would be interested in spending those tax dollars on a widespread I.D. system. Besides, i...

Armour -- WARNING -- I rambled on a LOT in this post.

WARNING -- I wrote plenty on this subject, go grab a drink or some food to keep your strength up when you read this   I've been doing a bit of checking on body armour because I'm slowly building up a large equipment list and one of the first items to be sorted out is Clothing & Perso...

Heya Linden, Yeah from what I remember two forces are using the same type of micro drone now, Midlands or Manchester (hehe, some region that started with M...) and now Liverpool. As for Blue Thunder, I recall reading that the director wanted to make the film critical of the US federal government and...

1984 anyone? UK police using UAVs for surveillance

"In the far distance a helicopter skimmed down between the roofs, hovered for an instant like a bluebottle, and darted away again with a curving flight. It was the police patrol, snooping into people's windows." - George Orwell, 1984 Although this article is a year old now, I thought it wa...
