Re: QAnon
After reading about Shayler and his messianic claims (among all the other rubbish he believes), it seems MI5 ended their association with him just in time!

Re: QAnon
A bit like Trump's stance on Australia - this is going from memory so there's more than likely a lot of gaps... Trump demanded Australia help in an investigation into claims that the Russians were willing to provide compromising material on Hillary Clinton during the run-up to the US election. The i...

Re: QAnon
I think the most disturbing aspect of the whole QAnon business isn't simply that so many people in the US are willing to believe it regardless of just how unbelievable it actually is, I think the most disturbing aspect is that once they've reached that stage of distrust of the world around them, the...

Re: QAnon
Wow! Just... Wow! I did a quick check on the net and from the first article I found, it's very easy to believe that those people are deranged... beyond deranged even. It definitely fits in with conspiracy games  Great find! :D And your scenario is great although I'd like to add a tw...

Re: Updates to www.darkconspiracy.info
Interestingly enough, Christine was not my first thought when thinking about the possible inspiration for this scenario. Re: Updates to www.darkconspiracy.info
That's a nifty scenario, one which I'd be very happy to use, although I can't decide which of the three options I'd use. Hmm, thinking... I'd be tempted to use A Deadman's Revenge first and then some time later a "copycat killer" emerges, using either Free Spirits or Slip Ways but either w...

Re: X-Files Season 11
That sounds a bit like my feelings about the show. I think for the earlier seasons, as much as I liked an over-arching plot, the monster of the week episodes were generally more interesting for me. Once they got into the alien colonists, black liquid etc. etc., I started to lose some interest in the...

Re: X-Files Season 11
Great to get someone's take on these new seasons. I hadn't bothered with them because it seemed that they were an attempt to get more cash out of a dead franchise (although that perspective is probably more due to the lack of good advertising here in my part of the world). Apparently I wasn't alone ...

Re: Black Aquarius
I think too, that for some of those movies I enjoyed in my adolescence, they satisfied whatever interests I had at the time but at that time I was very much exploring what was out there and discovering what I liked and didn't like, it was all very novel and even exciting to a certain extent. On refl...

Re: Black Aquarius
It's interesting to see the how things cycle through a society over time. The 1960s in Britain being a time of interest in the occult with novels and movies covering the topic and then by the 1980s, Britain is hit with the "video nasties". I think there's something in that situation about ...

Re: Black Aquarius
I loved the comment that a lot of the novels at the time had covers so lurid that, I think it was the presenter, said he was afraid to look at one of them in particular!

Re: Black Aquarius
You know, I kept expecting them to mention The Wicker Man but that's because it was one of the few movies that I was aware of. I don't think I had ever heard about Robin Redbreast and I'm all the more interested in seeing it now because of that connection to your neck of the woods! Some other things...

Re: Black Aquarius
Quite an interesting presentation. While some of the topics were pretty basic stuff for DC, it was the little details that I found fascinating such as certain groups having a penchant for very specific topics e.g. French wines.

Re: Inspirational Movies and TV for Dark Conspiracy
Thanks for the tip regarding Summerfield. Just watching the trailer alone was enough to refresh some memories of the movie. I had a recollection of a bridge and the trailer put that into context, it was the bridge leading to the estate itself.

Re: Inspirational Movies and TV for Dark Conspiracy
For once wiki doesn't reveal the entire plot of a movie, which is a pleasant change... The name Summerfield sounded vaguely familiar and when checking wiki I realised I had seen it but had totally forgotten Nick Tate. I've mentioned before that I don't pay enough attention to actors/actresses but I ...
