Sad Announcement

As some of you might be aware of, my Father-in-Law was diagnosed with terminal cancer late last year. This resulted in a huge upheaval for my immediate family, as my wife and son moved half way across the country to be with their father and grandfather repectively. I, of course, also seemed to spend...

Unfortunately I'm limited in what I can actually do to limit posters. Especially if I don't want to limit new legitimate users of this forum.

However, I might be on to a mod which disallows new users from posting for 1 day (which would eliminate the attacks we see lately)...

Hi Zvezda, Things are actually progressing better than they have for a couple of months! We have the core rules laid down and current in playtest locally (I'm running a variant of the 'Among the Dead' campaign). The artists are currently back on track with producing new art, and we are currently in ...

Getting the Playtesting underway

Hi All, After months of discussion and emails back and forth, we have finally got the go ahead to get our Playtesting program back on track! I won't bore you with details, but suffice to say we are obligated to create a new Playtest scenario for all of those signed up. This is currently being writte...

Hi there, Unfortunately I've been away over the past few weeks and this is the first opportunity I've had to reply to your post. Yes, we are about to restart the playtest program now we've had the go ahead from the IP owner. However, reviewing your contact details, it looks as if I never received th...

Condolenses

Hi All, just back from a family vacation. Sorry to hear this news. I didn’t know Tim personally, but I was a fan of his work with DC. As I’m currently in a similar situation to Tim’s family and friends, I know what a difficult time they must have being going through. As such, my sympathies (and thos...

A Brief Moment in DC

Hi All, Thanks for the interest in the status of DC. Things here at The Gamers’ Conglomerate are progressing slowly, and we are about to reach a major checkpoint in our development cycle (which unfortunately I can’t go into any more details about at the moment). The good news is that all the mechani...

Hi All, I've been testing the character creation rules in the past few days, and I can make the following statements on how the 3rd edition system will work. All career terms will be three years (rather than the existing 4). The only exception is the character's final term before 'mustering out' or ...

I think the key to making Dark Conspiracy work as an interesting and different game system is to 'hint' at what lies beyond reality, and allow the individual Referees (and their players) to determine what's really going on. In some ways I’ve always wanted DC to be the fan's game; a universe where th...

What style of gaming do you want to see in Dark Conspiracy?

Hi all, Time again for some hard questions to be asked of you and your favourite RPG. This time it's – What style of gaming do you want to see in Dark Conspiracy? I personally see DC as an extremely flexible game, where the setting is outlined, but the action is unlimited. I’ve always thought that t...
