Re: DC3 - Combat. Comments and doubts
Bona nit! I'm returning with my doubts, this time about the Wild Fire Procedure. So, I'm talking about the first paragraph of Conspiracy Rules v2 in the page number 117. 1. "All targets in a spray fire Danger Zone are attacked using the shooter’s normal marksmanship asset using the normal diffic...

Inspiration: The Pyongyang metro
This week I've read and interesting entry in one of the blogs I use to follow. The blog (written in Spanish) is: Play it again, Sam , and the entry contains an interesting link to an unofficial site about the Pyongyang Metro. As an introduction: "Built to link secret underground military facili...

Re: Chronological situation for a DCIII setting
Bona nit! 2018 and the following decade seem good for me. If the "Great Crisis" has its origins in the 90's, there's time enough for the Megacorps to reshape the world and I have enough room to transform Barcelona following the "DC way". Morthrai: It would be an honor any of our ...

Chronological situation for a DCIII setting
I’m trying to write a Barcelona Dark Conspiracy setting for our website. The goal is to create a detailed background in which situate our future campaigns. I think it would be nice to take a familiar place for any Catalan player, like Barcelona, and to distort it with the DC lens. I started writing ...

Psion, an interesting reading
Bon dia! I'm currently reading again "Psion", a 1982 book by Joan D. Vinge. A good reading about the existence and use of psionic powers. Althought not belonging to the modern horror genre, Psion is situated in a sci-fi background with great presence of Megacorporations. It has a continuat...

Re: Greetings!
Back in the forum after a long and obliged break. A happy event, the birth of my second son, has kept me away from roleplaying games for a while. But now things are returning to normality, though we could not run our planned first DC adventure using the new rules. Anyway, everything is ready for thi...

Re: DC3 - Combat. Comments and doubts
Thanks Zvezda! High and clear. Hmmmm… It seems I got a Catastrophic Failure in my Mathematics check, too. About the unskilled tasks, I believe that, like many other things in any other game, is a matter of common sense. I have no problem in let the player make an unskilled check to use skills...

Dark Conspiracy in L'Argonauta
We have a small web site devoted to role playing games and written in Catalan language (L’Argonauta). We’ve changed the introductory section of Dark Conspiracy to include the new initiative of Conspiracy Rules. We hope to generate our own new materials based in the new rule set and encourage our rea...

DC3 - Combat. Comments and doubts
Bona dia! Following my pleasant reading of the new Conspiracy Rules, I’ve finally arrived to the Combat chapter. For me, it’s always the most expected. I know, I know… the last resource; roleplaying is not only about combat, etc, etc. But it’s Dark Conspiracy, not The Call of Cthulhu. They bleed…wel...

Re: Voluntary use of Foreboding?
Dark involvement is obvious. Yep... They take pleasure from our suffering  When we use Foreboding I limit the ability to look into the future. I roughly follow the ideas form Sergei Lukyanenko's "Watch" that even if you manage to successful trace the lines of fate to the future, wha...

Re: DC3 - Missing Stalking
Hmmmm... I don't see it as a redundant skill. But using Streetwise as an enabling skill linked to any other proper skill (Observation or Tracking) solves the problem. Thanks.

Re: Voluntary use of Foreboding?
Hmmmm... the Vague Side Of Foreboding... For the moment, it's my way to deal with this skill, too.

DC3 - Missing Stalking
Bon dia! I’ve seen the old Stalking skill does not appear in the new DCIII skill list. I miss some skill to fill this gap. A way to evaluate things like the character ability to follow someone unnoticed in an urban environment (without entering in the field covered by Stealh) or how to organize a su...

Voluntary use of Foreboding?
Reading the new Conspiracy Rules, I’ve been thinking about the Foreboding skill. The normal use for Foreboding seems to deny any implication of the will of the character that possesses the skill. In some sense, it works nicely as an opportunity for the referee to introduce a new plot, create an adeq...
