A Spot of Location Inspiration
Definitely something useful for background detail in Dark Conspiracy. The Amber Court apartments in Malaysia's Genting Highlands were built by a company that went bust, so nobody moved in and they were left empty for several years. During that time, algae thrived in the tropical humidty and covered ...

Potential Nome Transport
To mark the vehicle's 35th anniversary Hyundai took the shell of an original Grandeur, their flagship luxury model, and refitted it with an electric drivetrain and all-modern running gear and interior. Looks properly 80s outside and totally 21st century inside. The 80s are now long ago enough that t...

Re: Inspirational Movies and TV for Dark Conspiracy
I watched this some time last year and weirdly it was exactly as good and as bad as I expected, no more or less. Nice to see The Mandalorian isn't the only person with a flamethrower up his sleeve, and don't take on possessed cars even if your pickup does carry a minigun!

April 2022 Rumblings
A couple of days ago Amargosa Press posted the following in reply to multiple comments and queries on their Facebook page. I present this as a direct quote: "Hi, thanks for your comment. We're still working on Dark Conspiracy but have had a number of issues (non RPG-related) over the last coupl...

Re: The Dark Times issue 5?
I am happy to wait and take the updated version. Issue 5 was supposed to be out in February and Marcus was putting it together and making it look all nice and modern and generally better than my solo issues. Looks like he's had some delays but he is a far busier man than I in all fairness!

If they don't want it then I am sure Marcus would put it up on here, or maybe we could issue it under The Dark Times banner

Re: AMARGOSA UPDATE December 2020
Now I'm just waiting to see if Amargosa contacts those of us who were on the Clockwork project because it does sound a little as though they intend to follow their own ideas (i.e. write their own version rather than build on the Clockwork version). It certainly looks like Amargosa are starting over...

UPDATE January 2021
Amargosa's Angus Abranson has just posted the following to the DC related Facebook groups and pages: "Hi all, Just a quick note to say that we're (Amargosa Press) planning on starting regular updates to keep everyone in the loop on the run up to getting everyone (backers of the Uhrwerk GameOn c...

Re: Inspirational Movies and TV for Dark Conspiracy
Interesting that all the soldiers are issued with Steyr-Augs (carbine version I think?). Golan-Globus must have had a load of replicas cluttering up their prop cupboard. It was the 80s, the AUG was the look of "The Future". Several movies from this century are full of people waving Kriss ...

Re: Inspirational Movies and TV for Dark Conspiracy
Lee, I remember your mate Jonathan Turner recommending this in one of his DC articles for 1990s pro-mag Roleplayer Independent. Subsequently reprinted in Demonground I think? Ah yes, you are correct. The movie that my gang renamed "Quatermass and the Tits", which I had forgotten about unt...
